The vertically integrted volume transport from the mixed layer to the seventh layer (situated at about 500m) shows summer intensified flow from the Pacific tothe Indian Oceans, while the total volume transport intensified in winter. About 20 Sv of annual averaged volume transport from the Pacific to the Indian Oceans agrees with that from the south Pacific to he north Pacific.
